In the columns for the last three weeks, we've been looking at Romans 8:37 -
... we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
This week, we consider a third condition for actually living like a conqueror. This condition is:
choosing to trust God and be at peace
Paul wrote:
Philippians 4:11:11-13
11 ... I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.
I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,
whether living in plenty or in want.
13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
1 Timothy 6:6-8
6 ... godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
The writer to the Hebrews said:
Hebrews 13:5-6
5 ...be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I
leave you; never will I forsake you."
6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"
